Chicken Chaap

 We Bengalees have a great effinity towards Mughlai cuisine. Anything cooked with rich mughlai spices definitely find their way to our household kitchen. One such recipe is chicken chaap . It is a very delicious dish which you can have with naan or Biriyani. So without wasting let’s start . Ingredients:- Chicken leg and thigh pieces - 4 (900gms) Yoghurt -300gms Onion  - 2 medium size Garlic -6-7 medium size Ginger-3 tbsp Green chilli -3 nos Cashewnut - 25 GMs Poppy seeds - 4 tbsp Charmagaj - 2 tbsp Turmeric powder -1 tbsp Chilli powder- 1 tbsp Keora essence -1 tsp Mitha Ittar-3 drops Mustard oil-4 tbsp Put all this ingredients except the keora and ittar into your mixing jar and give it a spin . Apple Custard Pie

 Today being Valentine Day and I am down with flu made me a bit of innovative in my cooking .Besides  being diagnosed with borderline diabetes is really taking toll on me . It put a brake to all kind of baking and cooking sweet indulgences by me . But nothing could stop me today. Even if I could not taste it I decided to go for it and combine two thing custard and apple pie and make one dish . It is like killing two birds with one stone . So let’s start with the recipe. Ingredients:- Pie crust sheet -1 Apple -3 nos if small Milk- 1 1/2 cup Egg -1 Corn starch or flour - 3 tbsp Cinnamon powder-1tsp Lemon juice 2tsp Butter -1tsp Vanilla essence-1tsp Sugar Salt Procedure:- Take the pie dish and put the rolled out pie sheet on it . Christmas Fruit Cake

 In my childhood Christmas was synonymous with rich fruit cake bought from Nahoum . I have tasted many fruit cakes but none of them matches the sinful taste of that fruit cake . Now after I started baking I tried my best to bring that taste but never accomplished it. But I came up with my version of fruit cake which is not so bad . You may try it.  Come December and only thing that comes to my mind is cakes and cakes and cakes. May be because most of my family members have their birthdays on this month I don’t know but usually I make maximum number of cakes during this period. So today I will share with you the recipe of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.  Hi friends. Since I am now on sweet trail let me share with you a very simple but delicious sweet. It is called Phirni. I first got acquainted to this sweet when I first went to eat at Karim’s . It is a famous eatery just opposite to Jama Mashjid in old Delhi. Usually they are served in small earthen bowl and hence it gets an unique earthly taste . Eggless Coffee Cake with salted caramel frosting

Dear friends it has been a long time since i shared with you any recipe . So after my big break i decided to share with you this simple cake recipe. This is mainly for my vegeterenian friends. Ingredients:- Flour 11/2 cup Semolina 1/2 cup Curd 4tbsp Milk 3/4 cup Sugar 11/2 cup Coffee 1 tsp Oil 3/4 cup Baking powder 11/2 tsp Baking soda 1/2 tsp Procedure:- First mix the curd with semolina and leave it aside for 5 mins . In a separate bowl whip the sugar with oil and then add the milk . Meanwhile mix all the dry ingredients except the coffee and pass it through a seive. Now add the semolina mixture with the wet mixture. Add the flour mixture and give it a whirl with your hand blender. Now add the coffee with one spoon of sugar and two spoon of hot milk. Make a smooth mixture and add it to the cake batter. Lemon Cake

 Hi friends today I will share with you one of my favourite sweet indulgence ie lemon cake . It is very simple and easy to make. Ingredients:- Flour -200gms Sugar-200gms Oil-100ml Eggs-4nos Lemon juice-2tbsp Lemon zest-1tbsp Milk 50 ml Vinegar -2tbsp Baking powder -2 tsp Vanilla essence-1/2tsp Icing sugar -2tbsp Procedure:- First mix the flour with baking powder and keep it aside. Grind the sugar in your mixer. Mix the vinegar with the milk and keep it aside. Now take a bowl and whip the egg so that it becomes three times in volume . Now add the sugar and oil one by one and whip sugar it gradually. Add the milk mixture and lemon juice. Add the flour gently and give it a mix with your blender. Add the lemon zest and vanilla essence and gently fold it to the mixture with a spatula. Either take a well oiled and floured baking tin or line it with butter paper whatever suits you and put the batter in it. Put it in a preheated oven and bake it for 35 mins in 170 degree.
