Apple Custard Pie

 Today being Valentine Day and I am down with flu made me a bit of innovative in my cooking .Besides  being diagnosed with borderline diabetes is really taking toll on me . It put a brake to all kind of baking and cooking sweet indulgences by me . But nothing could stop me today. Even if I could not taste it I decided to go for it and combine two thing custard and apple pie and make one dish . It is like killing two birds with one stone . So let’s start with the recipe.




Ingredients:-

Pie crust sheet -1

Apple -3 nos if small

Milk- 1 1/2 cup

Egg -1

Corn starch or flour - 3 tbsp

Cinnamon powder-1tsp

Lemon juice 2tsp

Butter -1tsp

Vanilla essence-1tsp

Sugar

Salt


Procedure:-


Take the pie dish and put the rolled out pie sheet on it . Pierce the sheet with your fork and keep it in refrigerator for 5 mins.



Meanwhile peel off the apples and slice them into thin pieces. Take a pan and toss the apple with butter cinnamon powder lemon juice and two teaspoon of sugar . Let the apple soften a little and then let it cool . In a bowl whip the egg and add milk , corn starch , Vanilla essence and 3 tbsp of sugar . Now take out the pie dish and arrange the apple at the bottom and pour the milk  mixture over it . 


Bake it in a pre heated oven for 30 mins in 180 degree . Your apple custard pie is ready.


You can decorate it as you wish . Here I have used blackberry sauce to give it a tangy taste and make it colourful. Let it cool and have a slice and make the day worthwhile.

Chicken Bharta

 Hello friends Chicken being my favourite food I always end up making dishes which include chicken. I try to cook it in different styles and ways. Today I will share with you a dish which is very common in North India but very easy to cook . Apple kheer

 Hi friends with the festive season peeping round the corner today I want to share a sweet dish with you which I am sure won’t disappoint your sweet tooth . It is called apple kheer . So let’s begin. Ingredients:- Milk - full cream one litre Apple -2 medium size cut small thin slices Condensed milk 1/2cup Sugar - 3 tbs Cornstarch -2 tbs Dry fruits -(almonds , cashew, raisins) -1 /2 cup Cardamom powder -1 tsp Kesar - few strands Procedure:- First take a fry pan, put 3-4 tbs of water and stir the apple pieces in it . Add the sugar in it . Fry the apple till it become light brown . Remove it from pan and strain the excess juice if any and let it cool . In another pan boil the milk . Keep on stirring and add the dry fruit in it . Add the condensed milk and keeping on stirring in medium flame .
