Phirni

 Hi friends. Since I am now on sweet trail let me share with you a very simple but delicious sweet. It is called Phirni. I first got acquainted to this sweet when I first went to eat at Karim’s . It is a famous eatery just opposite to Jama Mashjid in old Delhi. Usually they are served in small earthen bowl and hence it gets an unique earthly taste . So you can also serve in earthen bowl but it doesn’t diminishes its appeal if served in glass bowl.


                                                                  
Ingredients:-

Basmati rice 1/2 cup soaked for half an hour
Milk 3 cup
Sugar -1 cup
Kesar -1 pinch
Keora essence -2 drop
Dry fruits ( pista and kismish)

Procedure:-
 
Take the soaked rice and grind it with 4 tbsp of milk. Then take a pan and put the milk and rice mixture. In medium heat let the milk come to boil while stirring the mixture continuously. When the rice granule gets cooked you add sugar . Add the dry fruits and kesar also. When the mixture thickens slightly remove it from heat . Add the keora water and let it cool . If you want to serve in earthen bowl then distribute them in it and let it cool in the bowl. Keep it in fridge and take out before serving.

Chicken Bharta

 Hello friends Chicken being my favourite food I always end up making dishes which include chicken. I try to cook it in different styles and ways. Today I will share with you a dish which is very common in North India but very easy to cook . It is called chicken Bharta.  Ingredients:- Chicken breast -250 gms cut into small strips Boiled egg -2 nos cut into small cubes Char magaj -1 tbsp Posto/ khuskhus -1 tbsp Kaju -6 nos Milk 1/2 cup Yoghurt 1/2 cup Onion - 1 medium size cut into small pieces Ginger - garlic paste-1 tbsp Jeera powder -1 tsp Dhania powder -1 tsp Tumeric powder - 1/2 tsp Chilli powder-1 tsp Lemon juice 2 tbsp Kasoori methi 1 tbsp Procedure:- First make a paste of khuskhus , char magaj, kaju milk and yogurt. Apple kheer

 Hi friends with the festive season peeping round the corner today I want to share a sweet dish with you which I am sure won’t disappoint your sweet tooth . It is called apple kheer . So let’s begin. Ingredients:- Milk - full cream one litre Apple -2 medium size cut small thin slices Condensed milk 1/2cup Sugar - 3 tbs Cornstarch -2 tbs Dry fruits -(almonds , cashew, raisins) -1 /2 cup Cardamom powder -1 tsp Kesar - few strands Procedure:- First take a fry pan, put 3-4 tbs of water and stir the apple pieces in it . Add the sugar in it . Fry the apple till it become light brown . Remove it from pan and strain the excess juice if any and let it cool . In another pan boil the milk . Keep on stirring and add the dry fruit in it . Add the condensed milk and keeping on stirring in medium flame .
