Apple kheer

 Hi friends with the festive season peeping round the corner today I want to share a sweet dish with you which I am sure won’t disappoint your sweet tooth . It is called apple kheer . So let’s begin. Ingredients:- Milk - full cream one litre Apple -2 medium size cut small thin slices Condensed milk 1/2cup Sugar - 3 tbs Cornstarch -2 tbs Dry fruits -(almonds , cashew, raisins) -1 /2 cup Cardamom powder -1 tsp Kesar - few strands Procedure:- First take a fry pan, put 3-4 tbs of water and stir the apple pieces in it . Add the sugar in it . Fry the apple till it become light brown . Remove it from pan and strain the excess juice if any and let it cool . In another pan boil the milk . Keep on stirring and add the dry fruit in it . Add the condensed milk and keeping on stirring in medium flame . Mix the cornstarch in 2 tbsp cold milk and add it to the milk while continuously stirring it . Now add the apple pieces and stir it for another 5 mins in low flame . Sprinkle some cardamom powder...

Kadhai Paneer

 Hi friends. After my chicken marathon let me share a veg dish with you . In Delhi it is one of the most popular dish among paneer lovers . It is very easy to cook and very tasty to eat .  Ingredients:- Paneer -300 gms Onion -2 medium size Green capsicum - 1 big Tomato -2 small size Ginger paste -1 tsp Coriander seeds -1 tbsp Red chilli -1 whole Salt Oil -4 tbsp Turmeric powder -1 tsp Chilli powder -1 tsp Procedure:- First dry roast the coriander seeds and red chilli in a pan . Remove it from heat and grind it into a coarse powder . Set it aside . Cut the paneer into medium size . Chop the capsicum and one onion into thick wedges . Grate the other onion . Then take a pan put oil and then sauté the grated onion . Add turmeric and chilli powder . Add the chopped tomatoes and ginger paste . Stir fry it till the tomato become soft . Malai Chicken

 Hello friends to carry on the chicken marathon I have brought another chicken recipe . It is called malai chicken. It is a very simple but tasty dish . Hope you will try it and love it .  Ingredients:- Boneless chicken breast -500 gms Ginger garlic paste -2 tbsp Grated onion- 1 medium size Black pepper -1 tsp Cardamom powder -1 tsp Cinnamon stick -1 Bay leaves Lemon juice 3 tbsp Almond paste -2 tbsp Milk -1 cup Cream -1/2 cup Ghee Kasoori methi-1 tsp  Salt Procedure :- First cut the breast into medium size pices and pat them dry with tissue . Then marinate the chicken with salt , black pepper, ginger garlic paste , lemon juice and 2 tbsp of cream and almond paste for 4 hrs . Then heat 3 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add bay leaf and cinnamon stick and salt. Fry the grated onion till it becomes soft . Add cardamom powder to it . Add the marinated chicken and fry it for 5 mins . Add the milk and cream , stir it and then cover it and let it cook in low flame for another 15 mins...

Keema Toast

Hello friends. It has been a long time since I posted anything in my blog due to technical glitch . But now my son has solved the problem and so here I am with a tasty snack recipe called keema toast . Ingredients:- Chicken keema - 250 gms Bread slices -5 Ginger garlic paste -1 tbsp Black pepper -1 tsp Lemon juice -2 tbsp Oil Green chilli  Coriander leaves  Salt Egg -1 Procedure:- First marinate the chicken keema with salt , pepper, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and 2 tbsp of oil  for 3-4 hrs . After marination add finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves to the keema . Break the egg and mix with it . Then take a slice of bread and spread the keema mixture over it like jam . Then heat 2 tbsp of oil and place the bread with the toppings facing the pan . Press the bread with the spatula from to time and cook it in medium heat . After 5 mins turn the bread and toast the other side brown . Remove it from pan and serve it with tomato sauce or any cold dip. BON APPET...

Chicken Bharta

 Hello friends Chicken being my favourite food I always end up making dishes which include chicken. I try to cook it in different styles and ways. Today I will share with you a dish which is very common in North India but very easy to cook . It is called chicken Bharta.  Ingredients:- Chicken breast -250 gms cut into small strips Boiled egg -2 nos cut into small cubes Char magaj -1 tbsp Posto/ khuskhus -1 tbsp Kaju -6 nos Milk 1/2 cup Yoghurt 1/2 cup Onion - 1 medium size cut into small pieces Ginger - garlic paste-1 tbsp Jeera powder -1 tsp Dhania powder -1 tsp Tumeric powder - 1/2 tsp Chilli powder-1 tsp Lemon juice 2 tbsp Kasoori methi 1 tbsp Procedure:- First make a paste of khuskhus , char magaj, kaju milk and yogurt. Keep it aside.Take a pan put a tbsp of butter and stir the chicken strip and cover it and cook for 10 mins . Remove it from pan and keep it aside . Put oil on the pan and add the onion . Chicken Chaap

 We Bengalees have a great effinity towards Mughlai cuisine. Anything cooked with rich mughlai spices definitely find their way to our household kitchen. One such recipe is chicken chaap . It is a very delicious dish which you can have with naan or Biriyani. So without wasting let’s start . Ingredients:- Chicken leg and thigh pieces - 4 (900gms) Yoghurt -300gms Onion  - 2 medium size Garlic -6-7 medium size Ginger-3 tbsp Green chilli -3 nos Cashewnut - 25 GMs Poppy seeds - 4 tbsp Charmagaj - 2 tbsp Turmeric powder -1 tbsp Chilli powder- 1 tbsp Keora essence -1 tsp Mitha Ittar-3 drops Mustard oil-4 tbsp Put all this ingredients except the keora and ittar into your mixing jar and give it a spin . This will be your wet marination mix. Now let’s move toward chaap masala . For it you have to take a fry pan and roast these following ingredients and grind it in a mixture. Apple Custard Pie

 Today being Valentine Day and I am down with flu made me a bit of innovative in my cooking .Besides  being diagnosed with borderline diabetes is really taking toll on me . It put a brake to all kind of baking and cooking sweet indulgences by me . But nothing could stop me today. Even if I could not taste it I decided to go for it and combine two thing custard and apple pie and make one dish . It is like killing two birds with one stone . So let’s start with the recipe. Ingredients:- Pie crust sheet -1 Apple -3 nos if small Milk- 1 1/2 cup Egg -1 Corn starch or flour - 3 tbsp Cinnamon powder-1tsp Lemon juice 2tsp Butter -1tsp Vanilla essence-1tsp Sugar Salt Procedure:- Take the pie dish and put the rolled out pie sheet on it . Pierce the sheet with your fork and keep it in refrigerator for 5 mins. Meanwhile peel off the apples and slice them into thin pieces.
