The Apple Pie

 Hi friends I am back with another dessert dish . It is very simple but at the same time very delicious and I think the Americans can vouch for me . It is there most common dessert . The Apple Pie . Today I  made it from scratch and will share it with you .



Ingredients:-

For pie crust:-

Flour- 2 cups

Unsalted butter -75gms

Salt

Cold water 1/4 cup


For filling:-

Apple- 5 nos peeled cut into small pieces

Lemon juice 3 tbsp

Sugar -4 cup tbsp

Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp

Cornstarch - 1 tbsp

Raisins 


Procedure:-

First let’s make sure he pie crust . Cut the butter into small cubes and start mix it with the flour . Add a pinch of salt . Continue mixing it till the flour take the shape of small crumbles . Then start adding chilled water with a spoon to the flour and bring it together. Don’t  over mix the dough. Cover it with a clean wrap and keep it in the freezer for 20 mins . Meanwhile add the lemon juice , sugar , cinnamon to the apple pieces , mix it and let it rest for a while . After 15 mins seperate the juice from the apple through a strainer . Take the juice add 4 tbsp water, 2 tbsp sugar and cornstarch . Mix it well then bring it to boil . When it thickens remove it from gas and add 25 gms of butter to it . Mix it keep it aside . Bring out the dough and divide into 2 portion , one bigger than the other. Take the smaller dough and keep it in fridge . Roll out the other dough and put it in a 9” pie dish. Put the apple pieces inside it . Spread the juice over it .


Now take out the other portion of the dough and rolled it out . Cover the dish with it and pinch the edges so that it is closed. Cut holes in a cover like eyes and mouth and then put it in the oven . Bake at first for 30 mins in 200  degree , then reduce it to 170 for 10 mins and voila your Apple Pie is ready .

Fish Moulee

Hi friends we all know that fish is the superstar of any Bengali menu and we can't do without it. So here I am with another fish recipe . This dish is popular in Kerala , but since it includes fish I am sure all fish lovers would love it. I learned it from my sis in law and mother . So let's start.
